An ahupuaʻa is a slice of island, from the mountain to the sea. Each one was meant to meet the needs of its people. What was left over went to trade. This market walks the same line.

What this market stands on
Three old ideas hold this market up. From Hawaiʻi, the ahupuaʻa itself: the upper forest is left alone, the people are fed first, and only what is left over goes to trade. That is the order of this page, and the first band sells nothing. From India, satyagraha: hold to the truth and bear the cost yourself. Here that means every tag names where its maker was found, and a line that was only guessed says TK instead of pretending. From America, the consent of the governed: nothing governs you without your yes. Here that means no maker was signed up by this page. Each one is invited, and a stand becomes a site only in the maker’s own name.
Together the family calls this Software of Sovereignty. Sovereignty here means one thing: the person holds the keys. Maui Gaia is one side of a triangle. HEALEAKALA and getWAI.com are the other two. Around them is goodvibes group, the circle. At the center is amaryana.com.
